TA’s Piano Festival celebrates 25 years with week of performances
Some of the biggest local names in music will perform in smaller, more intimate venues around the city

Tel Aviv’s annual Piano Festival is celebrating its 25th year, with a week of live events around the city, featuring some of Israel’s biggest names taking part in smaller, more intimate performances.
The musicians participating in this year’s Piano Festival include Ivri Lider, Elai Botner, Miri Mesika, Shlomi Shaban, Danny Sanderson, Mosh Ben-Ari, Shaanan Streett and others.
The festival, which runs October 24-30, includes some 60 performances and more than 250 artists on the smaller stages and auditoriums of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Charles Bronfman Auditorium, Cameri Theater, Beit Ariella, Noga Theater and several outdoor spaces.
Some of the standout events include Jasmin Moallem on a piano-only concert of all her songs, Danny Sanderson performing some of his lesser-known work and Akiva staging a performance created just for the festival.
Roni Shachar will host Ninet Tayeb to celebrate Shachar’s first album, and the closing event is slated to feature Shlomi Shabat, a Piano Festival regular, with a new band that includes none other than Chava Alberstein.
Other standouts will include intimate performances with Ivri Lider, Asaf Amdursky and Rona Kenan with Alon Oleartchik.
