A 25-year-old man was critically wounded and another eight were injured in a street brawl that was accompanied by gunfire in the southern Bedouin town of Tel Sheva, police said Wednesday.
“Police officers are at the scene acting to restore public order,” a police statement said.
The critically wounded man was reportedly shot in the head.
Seven others were moderately hurt, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. They included a 50-year-old woman who was shot in her upper body, a 24-year-old man shot in the hip and five others who were injured from being beaten during the brawl. One person suffered light injuries.
All nine were taken by MDA ambulances to the Soroka Medical Center in nearby Beersheba.
