Toddler dies in East Jerusalem apartment building fire

2-year-old boy pulled from second floor of burning building in Shuafat refugee camp, is pronounced dead at the hospital

A two-year-old boy died Saturday morning in a house fire in East Jerusalem’s Shuafat Refugee Camp.

The boy was pulled from the second floor of the building and was taken to Al-Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem in critical condition. He was declared dead a short time later.

Police have opened an investigation into the cause of the fire.
