Two young girls were lightly injured after a piece of audio equipment collapsed at a Static & Ben El Tavori concert in Eilat’s Mizraka Park on Wednesday night.

In a video posted on Youtube, the popular duo can be seen performing on stage when a stand holding large concert speakers collapses.

As security guards scramble to help, the on-stage performers also noticed the commotion and stopped their performance mid-song.

The incident, which occurred at the end of the concert,  left the two girls, aged 10 and 15, with light injuries.

On his Instagram page, Static wrote “what happened at the concert just now breaks my heart, one of the scariest things that have happened to me in my life.”

He continued “as soon as I realized that people were injured I almost collapsed. Thank God I met the amazing families of the girls that were injured and they’re okay. I wish sweet Lirin a speedy recovery! I owe you a video call and you owe it to me to be a hero just like you promised.”

The Eilat Municipality, which organized the concert, said “the circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.”
