The State Attorney’s office filed an indictment with the Haifa Magistrate’s Court on Thursday against a senior police officer, Tziporah Samuel, who is accused of several cases of theft at the police station in Acre where she served.

According the indictment, Samuel, who worked as an investigator for the Acre police department, stole large amounts of money from at least seven suspects she had interrogated.

During her investigations, Samuel is suspected to have ordered her subjects to exit the interrogation room for a while and leave their personal belongings with her. Samuel would then allegedly relieve them of their cash.
