German tour guide collapses and dies in cliffs near Dead Sea

A German tour guide in his 50s collapsed and died Saturday morning. He was leading a group through the cliffs surrounding the Dead Sea.
The group was trekking up to a vista with an elevation of 490 feet (150 meters) near Ein Bokek when the guide began complaining of severe pressure in his chest.
He then lost consciousness and collapsed.
One of the travelers ran down to a nearby hotel to get medical attention.
Magen David Adom pronounced him dead upon their arrival. Ein Gedi rescue units also arrived to help transport the man’s body from the rocky terrain where he died.
