The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday released the video taken by IAF aircraft showing Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari’s car being struck by a bomb in the first targeted assassination of Operation Pillar of Defense.

The video shows Jabari’s Kia sedan cruising down a street in Gaza City when it is struck by the Israeli missile and engulfed in an enormous fireball. The vehicle swerves out of control, ablaze, with parts of the car — possibly the roof — blown clear of the wreck.

The blast killed Jabari and his son, and the two other passengers were injured.
