Man drowns at Tel Aviv University pool
Lifeguards pull victim unconscious from water; prolonged resuscitation efforts fail
A man in his fifties drowned on Friday at Tel Aviv University’s Olympic-sized swimming pool, located in Ramat Aviv.
Lifeguards pulled the man unconscious from the water, and Magen David Adom and Hatzala Gush Dan workers who arrived at the scene attempted to resuscitate him for nearly an hour, according to Maariv. His death was subsequently confirmed.
Police are examining the circumstances of the incident.
