A man was found lying injured on the ground on Uri Tsvi Grinberg Street in the Tel Aviv suburb of Holon on Tuesday evening, the Magen David Adom rescue service said.

The man, 28, was taken to Wolfson Hospital in Holon with multiple stab wounds in his back.

He was said to be conscious and in stable condition.

Police initially said they were investigating the incident as a possible terror attack, but later asserted that it had been criminally motivated.
