An early morning automobile collision in Bat Yam on Sunday resulted in one death and multiple injuries, as a passing car struck a motorcyclist whose bike had evidently stalled.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. along the Ayalon Highway and left the motorcyclist, in his 30s, dead. The driver of the vehicle and a passenger, both in their 20s, were lightly injured.

A paramedic on the scene told Maariv that the motorcyclist was standing in the middle of the road. “The car hit him, travelling very fast. Following a resuscitation attempt, a doctor pronounced him dead.”
