Palestinian killed after trying to break through checkpoint
Border policeman at al-Zaim checkpoint suffers light injuries
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleOne Palestinian was killed and two Palestinians and a border police officer were injured early Monday morning when a Palestinian vehicle tried to run a checkpoint north of Jerusalem.
Israeli forces opened fire on the car when it tried to break through the barrier, killing one man in the car and injuring two more. They were taken to a hospital in Ramallah.
The border policeman suffered slight injuries from shrapnel from the shooting and was treated at the scene.
The incident took place at the Al-Zaim checkpoint, between the Palestinian village of the same name and the West Bank settlement of Maaleh Adumim.
