Police arrested one of three pizza delivery thieves in the Tel Aviv area. The thieves had ordered pizzas and then robbed the delivery boys.
According to a Maariv report, the gang of three robbed at least six pizza delivery boys, stealing their personal belongings as well as the cash belonging to the store.
The three ordered pizzas to addresses in the greater Tel Aviv area on busy pizza nights, when the delivery boys had larger amounts of money on their persons. When the pizza arrived, one of the three threatened the delivery boy with a knife, while the other two quickly emptied his pockets.
On Saturday night two such thefts were reported to the police, one in south Tel Aviv and one in the neighboring city of Holon. Investigators who questioned the delivery boy were given a description, and the details provided led to the arrest of one of the suspects.
Police arrested a 24-year-old resident of Bat Yam, who was already serving house arrest for similar accusations. The court extended his custody by three days.
