If you’ve squeezed all your movie-watching into downloads on the iPad or laptop, here’s a chance to head back to the movie theater for some old-fashioned silver screen time.

The local film industry is celebrating Movie Time this Thursday, with NIS 10 movies all day long. Some 40 theaters are participating in the initiative, including Cinema City, Yes Planet, Rav Chen, Lev, Globus and Globus Max.

It’s an opportunity to see any of the films being shown right now in local movie theaters, said Danny Kafri, CEO of the Association of the Israeli Film Industry.

Kafri said the industry’s plan is to hold the NIS 10 movie day event once each year, as celebrated in other countries.

Movie Day begins at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 24, according to the regular screenings at the theaters.
