New York’s JFK International Airport was evacuated when security officials intercepted a suspicious piece of cargo on its way to an Israel bound El Al flight.

After examining the baggage — still in the baggage room — it turned out the problematic item was a tube of toothpaste, surrounded by tape, The Daily Mail reported Monday.

Only one week after the lethal bombings at the Boston marathon, the bomb scare Sunday evening resulted in the immediate clearing of Terminal 4. An “all clear” was given one hour after the evacuation, when an NYPD bomb squad finished checking and cleaning the scene, getting to the root of the matter.
