15 nabbed for selling drugs, explosives to undercover cop
One suspect, a recently discharged soldier, sold police officer explosive bricks taken from IDF bases
In a major sweep, police arrested 15 residents of Beersheba on suspicion of selling illicit drugs and weapons to an undercover police officer over the past three months.
One of the suspects is a recently discharged soldier who sold the undercover agent three bricks of explosives and working fuses, Channel 10 reported.
The cop also succeeded in purchasing cocaine and hashish.
The drugs and explosives were intended for criminal groups, police said.
According to Police Southern District commander Deputy Commissioner Yoram Halevy, “this was yet another high-quality and innovative action against criminals who steal weapons and explosives from IDF bases and sell them to organized crime to enable them to conduct their assassinations and blood feuds.”
