A two-year-old girl who was pulled from a swimming pool on Thursday in Beit She’an, died on Tuesday.
The girl was pulled from the water in a private swimming pool while staying with her babysitter in the northern Israeli city.
She was rushed to Haemek Hospital in Afula, but after five days of attempts to save her life, medical staff were forced to declare her dead.
Police opened an investigation into the incident.
There have been a spate of drownings and near-drownings in northern Israel in the past week.

On Friday two teens, aged 13 and 17, were pulled unconscious out of the Jordan River after being swept away. The two were part of a group that entered the river in northern Israel between Sde Nehemia and Amir at a site that is not authorized for swimming.
On Tuesday medical staff at Ziv hospital said one of the two remained in critical condition and had suffered irreversible brain damage. The other was in very serious condition suffering from damage to his lungs.
On Monday a 46-year-old Jerusalem man drowned in the Jordan River after jumping in to save his daughter. The incident occurred near the Arik Bridge, police said. The daughter, 16, was in trouble due to the strong currents, but was rescued safely.
