In a bloody day on Israeli roads, four people were killed Saturday in vehicular crashes.

In Caesarea, a woman was critically wounded in a head-on collision with another vehicle, and was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Police identified the woman as a 27-year-old resident of Be’er Yaakov.

The incident came after one person was killed and five others were wounded to varying degrees in a collision involving several vehicles, on a highway in the Golan Heights.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the victim, a 35-year-old man, was found with critical injuries in one of the cars and pronounced dead at the scene.

One of those hurt was listed in serious condition, two were moderately injured and the remaining two suffered light wounds. All were taken for medical treatment.

Also in the Golan Heights, a motorcyclist, 40, was killed in a crash with an all-terrain vehicle.

Hours earlier, another motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a highway divider near the Megiddo Junction in northern Israel.

Police, who launched an investigation, said the motorcyclist — a 40-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel — apparently lost control of the vehicle for an unclear reason, causing him to collide with the barrier.
