Cucumber choke puts man in hospital

A 30-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in severe condition Sunday after choking on a cucumber.
Emergency rescue workers rushed the resident of Kiryat Bialik unconscious to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
Apparently, he had swallowed an entire cucumber. The paramedics managed to dislodge two-thirds of it from his throat en route to the hospital.
Neighbors who called in the incident told reporters the man came running to their door and collapsed.
