With her upcoming turn as Wonder Woman less than a year away, Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot began to get a taste of fame this week as she graced the cover of July 10’s Entertainment Weekly, along with Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman, her co-stars in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Gadot told the magazine she was well aware of fan expectations of her, portraying a character that has captivated comic readers since the 1940s.
“There are so many expectations for this character, it’s impossible not to
be a little nervous about it,” she said.
Gadot told EW she was particularly thrilled with the opportunity to learn new fighting skills for her role.
“I love doing the swordplay stuff,” she says. “It’s another skill to add to my collection.”

Wonder Woman’s signature weapon, however, is her lasso. As to her skills in that respect Gadot replied: “I’m still
working on that.”
Gadot, an actress and model who found fame first as an Israeli print and runway model and then in the “Fast and the Furious” film series, will star as the lasso-wielding ingenue in the much-anticipated Zack Snyder film.
Batman v Superman hits US theaters on March 25, 2016.
