Behind the Headlines

Israel at war: Join ToI senior analyst Haviv Rettig Gur for an in-depth webinar Thursday

On November 16, we dig deeper into global issues facing Israel and the Jewish people as the IDF continues its ground operation in Gaza. Exclusively for the ToI Community

In the sixth week of the war with Hamas, Israel is fending off attacks from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen — and masses of anti-Israel protesters around the world.

Some 240 hostages are still captive in Gaza — including dozens of children — and Israel continues to identify and bury its over 1,200 dead. But on the battlefield of world opinion, the hundreds of thousands of anti-Israel activists are making headway as the IDF presses further into northern Gaza while opening humanitarian corridors to increase civilian evacuation from the war zone.

Israel faces an increasingly difficult task of toppling the Hamas regime in Gaza without caving into international pressure for a ceasefire.

To discuss what this watershed moment means for the future of the country and to answer your questions at this difficult time, The Times of Israel’s senior analyst Haviv Rettig Gur joins deputy editor Amanda Borschel-Dan for a Behind the Headlines webinar this Thursday, November 16, exclusively for Times of Israel Community members.
