Kim Kardashian said hiring Israeli security guard to the stars

Reality star Kim Kardashian is said to be hiring a former elite soldier in the Israeli army as her new personal security guard, following a harrowing robbery at gunpoint in Paris earlier this month.

The new hire, Canadian-born Aaron Cohen, served as a lone soldier in the IDF’s Duvdevan special operations unit, before leaving Israel following his military service to settle in the US where he became a security guard and a Krav Maga fighting expert, Israeli news site Ynet reported.

His security company, Cherries, which is the English translation in plural of Duvdevan, reportedly offers security services for A-List celebrities and provides training programs for members of the US military, local and state police departments, and SWAT units.

Cohen also serves as a technical adviser for films and trains celebrities for stunt work in action movies. He co-authored the bestselling memoir, Brotherhood of Warriors: Behind Enemy Lines with a Commando in one of the World’s Most Elite Counterterrorism Units.

Kardashian’s decision to hire new security came after an incident earlier this month when the reality television star was tied up and robbed at gunpoint at a luxury Paris residence by assailants disguised as policemen who made off with millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

Due to the nature of the work, Cohen could not confirm or deny his involvement with Kardashian but in an interview with Access Hollywood, Cohen criticized Kardashian’s security measures in Paris, stating that one security guard just wasn’t enough. He also said that due to Kardashian’s massive following on social media, she is an easy target as her whereabouts are known at all times.

Cohen told the TV program that “the Kardashians are very far behind where they need to be” in terms of their security and that Kim Kardashian could have been killed in the robbery.
