Hamas members arrested in November

In a joint Shin Bet-IDF operation, a Hamas terror cell was busted in Hebron in November, officials announce.

The cell had purchased a variety of weapons, including an M-16 rifle, in order to carry out a terror attack on Route 35, which runs between Hebron and the coastal city of Ashkelon, according to the Shin Bet.

The head of the terror cell, Mehmad Ali Qawasmeh, is the brother of one of the terrorists responsible for the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers in summer 2014, the Shin Bet says.
