Ahead of intense storm, Haifa Port closed to incoming ships
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleWith an unusually intense storm expected to hit Israel’s shores Thursday evening, the Haifa Port announces it is shutting down all its piers and won’t allow ships to dock out of fear for their safety.
Ships may still set sail in a case-by-case basis to be determined by weather conditions.
The storm is expected to begin Thursday evening, with wind gusts hitting up to 100 kph and heavy rains spreading from the Galilee to the south over Friday.
