Authorities in Germany issue a wanted notice for a suspect in the van ramming near Berlin’s Pride festival.
The suspect is a 21-year-old whom police identify as “Abdul B.”
“The suspect is known to police. He is known to us as a member of Islamic circles here in Berlin, and our search for this person is proceeding at full speed,” police spokesperson Florian Nath says, as quoted by ABC News.
She adds that “we still have no information whatsoever regarding his specific motives, the exact sequence of events, or his role in the crime itself.”
The notice warns against “direct contact” with the suspect, saying he may be armed.
