Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir hails the strikes on Islamic Jihad in Gaza, calling them “a good start.”

Ben Gvir and his Otzma Yehudit party have been boycotting the Knesset and cabinet meetings in protest of what he called the “feeble” response to rockets fired from the Strip last week.

“I congratulate the prime minister on the proactive operation in Gaza,” Ben Gvir says. “It’s a good start, the time has come to change our policy in Gaza.”

He does not say if he is ending his boycott.
