Prime Minister Naftali Bennett speaks with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla about Israel’s concerns regarding its expiring COVID vaccines and its need for new shipments of vaccine doses.
Bennett and Bourla have spoken several times in the past few days, says the Prime Minister’s Office. They have discussed potential deals to swap Israel’s stockpile of vaccines, which are slated to expire at the end of July, with those ordered by other countries.
The pair are “maintaining continuous telephone contact” and working together on Israel’s vaccine concerns, according to the PMO.
