Cops collar skateboard-towing driver over viral Yom Kippur stunt

A man accused of pulling a group of skateboarders down an empty street during Yom Kippur is having a bummer day after police arrested him and seized his ride over the stunt.

In a clip posted to TikTok, eight skateboarders are seen holding onto cords attached to a red car, which pulls them along a Haifa road that is left nearly empty due to the holiday, when most cars stay off the road.

Police say they arrested a 22-year-old from Kfar Saba on suspicion of reckless driving and endangering human life, after the rad clip went viral.

They also seized his car, which was deemed unfit for road use after a traffic inspector examined the vehicle and found serious defects.

The driver has been released to a five-day house arrest. Police are coordinating with state prosecutors on whether or not to indict him.
