Days when Jews are passive ‘are over,’ PM says

Netanyahu says preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons is the official policy, but says Israel will do whatever it takes to defend itself from those who seek its destruction. Paraphrasing the Haggadah, he says in each generation someone rises up to destroy the Jews and, in turn, fail.

“The days when the Jewish people remain passive in the face of genocidal enemies – those days are over,” he says.

Referring to Iran, he suggests they look around and see if Rome and Babylon are among the leaders gathered in the UN.
