Egypt reports ‘minor injuries’ in accidental Israeli cross-border shelling

Egypt’s military spokesman says an unspecified number of border guards sustained “minor injuries” from “fragments of a shell accidentally fired from an Israeli tank.”
The Egyptian army says Israel “immediately expressed its regret over the unintentional incident and an investigation is underway.”
The IDF earlier reported that it accidentally hit an Egyptian border post near the Kerem Shalom area between Egypt, Gaza and Israel.
