Fired ICC prosecutor Karim Khan to challenge dismissal, lawyer says

Prosecutor Karim Khan will legally challenge his dismissal from the International Criminal Court, his lawyer says, after ICC members voted to remove him following allegations he sexually assaulted a female staff member, which he disputes.

“Mr. Khan will challenge the lawfulness and fairness of the decision through all available legal mechanisms,” lawyer Tayab Ali writes on X, pointing out that Khan has denied the accusations.

Khan spearheaded the issuing of ICC arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant, which Israel has called for to be revoked.
