Footage shows IDF fighter jet shooting down ‘suicide drone’ launched from Gaza

The Israeli military releases video footage showing an F-16 fighter jet shooting down an armed suicide drone that was launched from the Gaza Strip toward a target off the coast.

In the video, the fighter plane can be seen locking on to the “suicide drone,” which carried a roughly five-kilogram explosive payload, before destroying the unmanned aircraft with a missile.

Since the outbreak of fighting, Hamas has launched a number of these drones, which the terror group says are assembled in Gaza, though the IDF believes that many of the components are smuggled into the beleaguered enclave. All of these have been downed by the Israeli military.
