ABU DHABI — Minutes ahead of the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Zvi Heifetz, Israel’s special envoy to the Gulf states, poses in front of the sign at the entrance of Israel’s embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The embassy is set to be inaugurated by Foreign Minister Yair Lapid during the first visit by an Israeli minister since the signing of a normalization deal last year.
Lapid will travel to Dubai tomorrow for the inauguration of the consulate there.
