Hamas claims capture of IDF soldier
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHamas’s military wing claims it has captured an Israeli soldier, shortly after the IDF confirms in a statement that “initial indication suggests that an IDF soldier has been abducted by terrorists” during an attack around 9:30 a.m.
Former national security adviser Giora Eiland says this means “an escalation” in the Rafah area of the Strip where the kidnapping took place, as the IDF hunts for the soldier, but may also mark an escalation of the entire conflict.
