Hamas leader al-Zahar’s home seen destroyed

Pictures of the destroyed home of Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar emerge on social media.

There were no reports of casualties in the Israeli air strike on the home overnight.

Al-Zahar, a former Gazan foreign minister, was most recently in the news for saying that no Hamas forces would come under the control of the Palestinian Authority, after a unity government was formed in June.

In June, he warned that Hamas rockets could hit any city in Israel.
