Hamas: ‘This is not the time for quiet’

After a restless night in southern Israel, air raid sirens sound in the Eshkol region bordering Gaza after sunup. A rocket landed in an open area in the Eshkol region, causing no injuries or damage.

Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum says, “This is not the time for quiet. We have a bank of various targets. An Iron Dome [missile battery] will be needed in every Israeli home.”

According to Israel Radio’s Gal Berger, 17 Palestinians were reported injured in Israeli airstrikes on Hamas targets. At least five houses belonging to Hamas members were attacked, and residents were called ahead of the strikes and instructed to evacuate, a Palestinian reporter tweets.
