Hundreds protest in Ramallah over PA critic’s death in custody

Hundreds protest in the West Bank city of Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority’s seat of power, over the recent death of prominent opposition figure Nizar Banat while he was in the custody of PA security forces.

The protesters call for those those involved in Banat’s death to be put on trial and call for PA President Mahmoud Abbas to resign, according to the Kan public broadcaster.
