The Israeli military says it destroyed two Hamas weapons depots in the Gaza Strip, which were located inside mosques.

The mosques in Gaza City and Deir al-Balah were used by Hamas to store dozens of assault rifles and other weapons, according to the IDF.

“This is another example of Hamas’s systematic exploitation of civilian infrastructure, including mosques, in violation of international law, to advance and execute terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians,” the military says.

Ahead of the strikes, the IDF published warnings to Palestinians residing in the area.
