IDF says warning sirens set off by Gaza rocket

The sirens that were heard in Sderot and surrounding area were set off by a rocket that seems to have struck an open field, a spokesperson for the Sha’ar Hanegev region says.

There are no injuries or damage caused, the spokesperson says.

The military confirms that one rocket was fired from the Strip toward Israel, but does not comment on its impact site.

The Sha’ar Hanegev spokesperson says security forces are searching for the remains of the rocket
