Iran plans to launch at least two satellites into space in the next three months, Telecommunications Minister Issa Zarepour announces.
Western governments fear that Iran’s satellite launches will test technologies similar to those used in ballistic missiles which are capable of delivering a nuclear warhead, something Iran has always denied wanting to build.
“At least two satellites will be launched into space by the end of this year,” Zarepour tells the IRNA agency, referring to the end of the Iranian year, on March 20, 2023.
