The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group rejects an Egyptian proposal for a temporary ceasefire with Israel, the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen TV reports.

“Now is the time to respond to the crimes of the occupation,” a PIJ source tells Al-Mayadeen.

The response came after Egyptian negotiators proposed a pause in hostilities to create an opportunity for a longer-lasting ceasefire to be negotiated.

The response from the Iran-backed terror group comes as Operation Breaking Dawn nears its 24-hour mark.
