Johnson confirms Britain helped draft UN resolution against Israel

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson confirms that Britain helped craft the wording of the United Nations Security Council resolution that condemned Israeli settlements.

“I want to remind you that the UK was closely involved in the drafting of that resolution,” the Haaretz daily quotes Johnson as saying.

“It was an Egyptian-generated resolution and we only supported it because it contained new language pointing out the infamy of terrorism that Israeli suffers every day,” Johnson says in response to questions from MPs, according to Haaretz.
