Kara: Saudi royal family shakeup will bolster Jerusalem-Riyadh ties
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleCommunications Minister Ayoub Kara welcomes Saudi Arabia naming Mohammed Bin Salman as new crown prince, adding that he hopes the change will accelerate the kingdom’s rapprochement with Israel.
“Salman’s appointment means more economic cooperation in the Middle East, and not just regarding oil,” Kara says in a statement. “The strengthening of relations with the Trump government is the beginning of a new and optimistic time between Saudi Arabia and regional states, including Israel and the Jewish people.”
Kara’s remarks are the first response by an Israeli official following the shakeup in the Saudi royal family earlier today.
