Labor’s Peretz: We need plan based on two-states, not on one-sided annexations

Labor-Gesher-Meretz chief Amir Peretz says of the purported plans to reveal the US peace plan next week: “We need a plan that jump-starts a political process based on the two-state solution, not on one-sided annexations.”

He adds that such a plan must include the evacuation of isolated settlements and arrangements ensuring Israel’s security.

Meanwhile his deputy, Meretz chief Nitzan Horowitz, says: “A true diplomatic plan is not presented as a gimmick a month before elections, and certainly not on the day when the plenum votes on immunity.”

The Knesset is set to vote Tuesday on setting up a House Committee to debate Netanyahu’s request for immunity in three criminal cases — reportedly the same day Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White party chief Benny Gantz will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington.
