The Democrats MK Efrat Rayten Marom is ejected from the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee after asking chairman Boaz Bismuth about a report that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir criticized the government during a closed-door Knesset meeting last week.

According to comments leaked to Ynet, Zamir told the Knesset Subcommittee for Intelligence and Secret Services that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has left the military in the dark regarding the next stages of the war following the current operation aimed at conquering Gaza City.

Bismuth, of Netanyahu’s Likud party, declines to confirm the report while denouncing those who would leak from closed meetings, prompting Rayten Marom to counter that the governing coalition is unable to take criticism.

She is then ejected from the chamber where the powerful committee is meeting.
