Thousands of people gather at Kibbutz Nir Oz to bury Elad Katzir, who was taken hostage during Hamas’s October 7 massacre and murdered in captivity by Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.
His body was extracted from Gaza and returned to Israel by the Israel Defense Forces over the weekend.
Katzir’s sister, Carmit Palty Katzir, again lashes out at the government during her eulogy, according to the Ynet news site.
“I’d like the prime minister to ask for your forgiveness — but that won’t happen,” she says, addressing her brother.
In an angry Facebook post yesterday announcing that Elad’s body had been recovered, Palty Katzir blamed the government for failing to secure a hostage release deal in time to save him.
“Look at yourselves in the mirror and see if your hands didn’t spill that blood. You have 133 more hostages to redeem, worlds to save,” she wrote.
