Netanyahu, Herzog said planning Sissi meet as part of new coalition
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleNetanyahu and Herzog are reportedly planning a joint trip to meet Egyptian President el-Sissi in Cairo, to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, should Zionist Union enter the coalition government.
The trip, Channel 10 says, would serve as a fig leaf for Herzog bringing his reluctant party out of opposition and into Netanyahu’s government.
The report comes as Liberman claims that Netanyahu also tried to persuade him to join the government with a series of inducements, including approval for the death penalty for terrorists.
