Foreign Minister Israel Katz will serve as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s stand-in during the premier’s trip to the United Nations in New York, ministers decide.
Katz will also have the power to convene the security cabinet.
The ministers vote by WhatsApp to approve a proposal by Netanyahu to his cabinet on the matter. The trip is listed on the proposal as running from Thursday until Sunday.
