Obama: Peace is only way for Israel to stay Jewish, democratic
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS President Barack Obama says that peace is the only way for Israel to remain a Jewish and democratic state. In a pre-recorded message broadcast at the Haaretz conference in New York, Obama condemns recent terrorist attacks against Israelis, and says that people who use violence against Palestinians should be brought to justice.
Obama adds that security cooperation between Israel and the United States today is unprecedented.
