Obama: Perversion of Islam is motivating the weak, troubled
Obama says the US must act against a corrupted form of Islam that is targeting the “troubled” and the “weak,” and inducing such people to carry out terror attacks.
“The biggest challenge we are going to have is this kind of propaganda and perversions of Islam that you see generated on the internet, and the capacity for that to seep into the minds of troubled individuals or weak individuals, and seeing them motivated then to take against people here in the United States,” he tells reporters in the Oval Office, following a briefing by senior security officials on the Orlando shooting.
