‘PLO to join International Criminal Court’

The Palestinian Authority will ask to join the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which means that it will be able to sue Israel for war crimes, a senior Palestine Liberation Organization official says.

“We already wrote the letter. We just need to send it,” PLO executive committee member Hanan Ashrawi tells The Times of Israel. “We’re sick of Israeli war crimes.”

If Israel’s campaign in Gaza continues, the letter will be sent “sooner rather than later,” she threatens, refusing, however, to say when exactly the PA plans to join the ICC.
